Description
Transpositions of the FS1r outputs to create Pads, Effects, Synthetic Textures, and Rhythmic Ambiences
Metathesis explores the Yamaha FS1R’s formant-shaping and FM synthesis capabilities, delivering harmonically rich, evolving pads and textures for ambient composition, experimental sound design, and cinematic scoring. Over 2.9GB of 24-bit, 48Khz samples are in this collection – in WAV format, ready for your WAV Workflow compatible tools.
Demo:
Metathesis-1 contains close to 600 megs of multi-sampled pads and textures. The samples are harmonically rich, quite long, and evolving. All are recorded straight from the FS1 with no outside processing.
Metathesis-2 is a full collection of textures derived from samples taken from the FS1 and extensively processed using additive synthesis techniques. Considerable sculpting of individual harmonics and small groups of harmonics was performed to produce textures that embrace everything from subtle harmonic sweeps to pulsing rhythms. These files are all in A and have tempos at 20 , 60 , and 120 BPM .
Metathesis-3 has a large collection of wonderfully odd samples produced with the Yamaha FS1, both unprocessed and processed. The FS1R’s formant sequencing was used to get some truly unique and funky effects. Many of these samples were taken a step further and processed using granular and additive methods to get some pretty wild textures.
Together, Metathesis documents the FS1R’s range—from pristine, evolving harmonics to deeply processed, otherworldly timbres—offering both raw source material and finished elements for diverse creative applications.
